Fish Hoek Overview

Fish Hoek is a welcoming seaside village approximately 35 to 40 minutes from Cape Town and Cape Town International Airport, where you can enjoy memorable, yet cheap holidays.

Fish Hoek Beach

The main attraction in Fish Hoek is the beautiful warm water beach where families can enjoy spending lazy summer days. There is a kids jungle gym and restaurant located right on the beachfront with various activities including the local fishermen who trek on the beach every morning, the hobby cats and kayaks that launch from here, the local Nippers and Lifesavers who often hold tournaments and exhibitions, and of course whale watching between July and November each year. The Southern Right Whales migrate into the sheltered bay to calve and one can get the most spectacular, up close, views of these majestic creatures and their newborns.

Relaxed Shopping Atmosphere

Aside from the beach, Fish Hoek offers a relaxed shopping atmosphere along its Main Road which you can stroll down to get curios, and everyday necessities. There are plenty of restaurant and takeaway options including Spur, St Elmos, Scooters, KFC, Chinese Emporium, and more. There are also internet cafes, cute coffee shops, and even an indoor market every Saturday morning. Travelling towards the other end of Fish Hoek, you will get to Longbeach Mall if you want to go to the movies, shops for clothes and shoes or various other items.
